Want to update the text? Add new photos to your gallery? Just follow the steps below to access your site and manage away on the Wordpress platform. For your reference, we use a website builder called Breakdance which simplifies the editing interface so you don’t need to worry about all the messy code.

Important Information About Your Site - Please Read This
Your website and information is now publicly viewable on the Internet to anyone who visits your website link, so feel free to start sharing this around!
Although your website is live, the Search Engines (eg Google) need some time to discover your new content before it shows up in search results.

It takes anywhere between 4 days to 4 weeks days for Google to index (i.e discover) a new website so do not be alarmed if you do not see your site coming up when you do a Google search for your business name.
As the owner of your website, it is essential that you learn how Search Engine Optimisation (rankings) work and what SEO is before you ask us questions about your website rankings. Self-Management Instructions
Please access the instructions below if you intend to make simple edits to your website yourself such as image, text and photo gallery updates. For more complex edits or if you prefer us to do it for you, please see our detailed Edits Price List to guide you through the cost of individual updates.
Step 1: Locate your Login Details - Go to the final email we sent you with the subject line "Website Published & Self-Management Access" - it contains a login link and temporary password to access your site and looks something like this:
Login location: www.mysite.com/wp-login
Password: Web$ite2024!
You are welcome to change the password at your convenience.
Alternatively, if you do a search in your emails for “Wordpress” you should find a result with “Login Details” in the subject. Please make sure you check Spam as well. If it has been more than 30 days since we published your site and it went to your spam, it may have been deleted so we will need to send you access again.
Please file your login link and password for future reference as you will need it to edit your site each time you login.
Note: If you cannot find your login details, email [email protected] with the subject line “Invite me to edit my site” and we will re-send you the Wordpress login details which will come from Wordpress. It will also prompt you to set your own password so please keep a record. Please check your Spam folder if you don’t see it.

Please note that we have restricted access so you are unable to edit the design elements for safety in case you’re not confident in using the website builder. If you would like full Interface access, please email us so we can provide it to you.
Step 3: Go to Pages in the Wordpress Dashboard – Once you are logged in, you will see the Wordpress dashboard, but there’s no need to be overwhelmed! The only tab you’ll need to use is Pages from the left side bar. You can ignore everything else.

Once you click Pages, you will see a list of the pages on your website. Under the page you wish to edit, click “Edit in Breakdance”. For reference, Breakdance is a website builder plugin that makes it easy to use Wordpress so you don’t need to worry about any fiddly code. Please do not try to Edit the page directly in Wordpress and stick with Breakdance editing only.
Once you are inside your page, you will see the layout and design of your content and images.
Important: To help you out, the following items are restricted for editing to preserve the safety of the design so if you need help with any of these, please email [email protected] with our specific instructions for editing and we will do it for you within 24-48 hours.

- Editing banner images, section backgrounds or slideshows
- Changing fonts and colours
- Updating the logo
- Uploading new videos or images to new sections on the page

Below are the items you can edit with your access level.
Edit Headings and Text
Simply click on the box with the heading or content and the editing panel opens at the left hand side where you can edit the text. Then hit Save in the top right corner to publish the changes.
Uploading New Photos to your Gallery
From the Pages menu (either within Wordpress or within the Breakdance Editor), find your way to your Gallery page. Click on the gallery and from the left hand panel select “Add Media” and upload more images. Hit Save in the top right hand corner to publish your changes.
Click on Delete icon from existing images to delete them.
Add a link to an image
Select the image on the page which will open up an editing panel on the left hand side. Click Link from the options then paste in the link that you wish the image to take the user to. You can also add PDF or documents to be downloaded too! Then hit Save in the top right corner to publish the changes.
Change an image
Click on the image you wish to change, this will open up the editing panel on the left hand side. Click Choose and follow the prompts to upload the image of your choice. Then hit Save in the top right corner to publish the changes.
Add a caption to your gallery images
Click on the image from the Gallery and from the editing panel on the left, look for the Pencil icon. Click on that which will prompt you to insert your caption and save.
Don’t forget to SAVE your changes
After you make changes, make sure you press SAVE in the top right hand corner to make changes instantly on your site.
